Toronto (Canada) – Fasken has partnered with ICON Talent Partners to create a scholarship program for incoming Black and Indigenous first-year students attending Canadian law schools in the fall of 2021.
The program is offering ten $2000 scholarships in addition to mentorship from a Fasken lawyer and a career development opportunity at one of the Firm’s Canadian offices during the summer of 2021.
“It has been a true privilege to partner with Fasken to create the ICON Fasken Scholarship to support incoming Black and Indigenous law students in Canada,” said Derrick Raphael, Co-Founder & CEO of ICON Talent Partners. “As a former Fasken employee, I know the outstanding workplace culture and support system that they will be joining at the Firm. I encourage any Black or Indigenous professionals or current undergraduate students considering a career in corporate law to apply to this scholarship.”
