Calgary Partner and Co-Leader of Fasken’s Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions practice groups, Sarah Gingrich, comments on Canadian banks’ strong performance in investment banking in an article published in The Logic.
She explains that many companies who had put financing or acquisition projects on hold in reaction to the uncertainty caused by US tariffs are now seeing conditions stabilizing, leading them to move forward with their plans.
“I think there’s a pressure to transact, there’s momentum to transact, and so if the conditions remain stable, you will see this continue,ˮ said Partner, Sarah Gingrich.
