Montréal Partner and member of Fasken’s Privacy and Cybersecurity group, Julie Uzan-Naulin, comments on the implementation of Québec’s privacy law (Bill 25) in an article published in La Presse (in French only).
She highlights the many measures that businesses must comply with and the fact that this is a long-term process.
“There can always be a new employee who is unaware of the procedures. Or new software that the procurement team acquired without notifying the privacy officer. This is continuous,” says Partner, Julie Uzan-Naulin.
