Montréal Partner and member of Fasken’s Privacy and Cybersecurity group, Julie Uzan-Naulin, comments on the EU Commission’s Digital Omnibus, a proposed package of legislative changes that aims to simplify the EU’s digital regulatory framework, in an article published in Canadian Lawyer.
She explains that the proposed regulatory changes would be easier for companies to manage, and that they could especially offer relief to small and medium businesses, as well as potentially boost protections for individuals.
“If it is easier for companies to comply, individual rights would be more protected,” said Partner Julie Uzan-Naulin.
