Overview

“How far can AI transform lawyers’ work?” by Sonia Semere, Droit-inc.

Montréal partner and Chair of Fasken’s Partnership Board, Marie-Josée Neveu, and Senior Director, Practice and Client Innovation, Rachelle Thompson, discuss Fasken’s agentic AI deployment strategy in an article published by Droit-inc. (in French only).

Following the strategic partnership between Fasken and Legora, the interview outlines the benefits of deploying agentic AI for the firm’s lawyers and clients, as well as the impact these technologies may have on the practice of law and on the training of the next generation of legal professionals.

“Artificial intelligence can support a wide range of tasks across many practice groups, including document analysis, more sophisticated reviews, drafting, and the examination of evidence,” said Marie-Josée Neveu. “What remains fundamental is that analysis, professional judgment, and final decisions stay in the hands of our professionals.”

“One of the key advantages is also the ability to offer a more personalized approach to client service,” added Rachelle Thompson. “By reducing certain repetitive tasks, professionals can devote more attention to the nuances and specific needs of each matter.”
