Johannesburg (South Africa) – Fasken is pleased to announce the appointment of Ludwig Frahm-Arp as Regional Managing Partner for South Africa, effective 1 January 2027.
Ludwig has been a partner in Fasken's Johannesburg office since 2006 and is a recognised and accomplished employment and pensions lawyer. He will continue to serve clients while taking on his new leadership responsibilities.
A respected leader with a deep understanding of the Firm's clients, business, and culture, Ludwig brings significant experience to the role. His appointment reflects Fasken’s continued commitment to a future-focused vision, client service excellence, talent development, and meaningful engagement with the communities it serves.

As part of a planned leadership transition, Blaize Vance, who has served with distinction as Regional Managing Partner for the past 17 years, will assume the role of Senior Partner, South Africa. In that capacity, Blaize will continue to provide strategic leadership and support to the Firm and its clients.
The leadership team in South Africa is further strengthened by the continued contribution of Ashen Jugoo, a partner in the Finance and Projects practice group, who will remain in his additional role as Professional Development Partner. Ashen plays a key role in developing talent, fostering collaboration, and supporting the Firm's long-term growth and success.
In Canada, the Regional Managing Partner appointments remain unchanged as Jenny Francis (BC), Alex Kotkas (Alberta), Karen Sargeant (Ontario), and François Brais (Quebec) were re-elected in their respective regions. Jodi Katz was also re-appointed as Regional Managing Partner in London.
