Nicholas Wilcox is an Associate in Fasken’s Ottawa office and is a member of the firm’s Labour, Employment & Human Rights group. He practices in all areas of labour and employment law providing practical advice and representation to unionized and non-unionized employers and management on various issues that arise during the employment relationship.
In his practice, Nicholas is committed to helping employers navigate an evolving legal landscape while fostering inclusive, equitable, and productive work environments. He is known for his thoughtful, client-focused approach and for tailoring advice to meet the practical and strategic needs of each client.
Nicholas is a graduate of the University of Ottawa's JD program. Prior to attending law school, he completed a four-year undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science and graduated on the Dean’s List. Throughout his post-secondary education, Nicholas balanced his studies with a commitment to leadership and extracurricular initiatives, serving as both a tutor and advisor for school boards in Eastern Ontario.
During his legal studies, Nicholas volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and worked at a criminal law firm, where he attended court, conducted extensive legal research, and drafted legal documents. He later joined Fasken and gained hands-on experience working with lawyers across a range of practice areas while summering and articling with the firm, before joining as an Associate in 2026.
Nicholas is fluent in both English and French. Outside of his practice, he enjoys playing hockey, golf, and travelling.
