Sarah is in her final year at UBC Law. Sarah was awarded the David Roberts Prize in Legal Writing. In her second year she was the Co-President of the UBC Student Animal Legal Defence Fun and an Upper Year Mentor. She is also a former Clinician with LSLAP.
Prior to entering law school, Sarah spent a year working with a small boutique law firm, gaining experience as a research and legal assistant. In her final year of undergraduate studies, she worked with Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada, as a research assistant at the Litigation Management and Resolution Branch. Sarah has also worked with the Immigrant Services Society of BC as a Settlement Mentor and Administrative Assistant. She met with newcomers to Canada to help build support networks and to strengthen their English skills.
She enjoys birdwatching, with her favourite sighting in El Dorado Nature Reserve, Long Beach CA of a green heron. She also enjoys cycling and her favorite route is the Lions Gate-Second Narrows loop. Sarah joins us for articles in November.
