Scott Whitby is a senior business lawyer in the Calgary office, advising companies in the oil and natural gas, power and renewable energy sectors.

With more than 25 years’ of experience advising clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, Scott is highly sought after for his experience and expertise in relation to the purchase and sale, development, and operation of oil and natural gas, power generation and renewable energy assets and the marketing of oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids, and power.

Scott is the Calgary office Co-Leader for the Fasken Global Energy Group. Since 2018 Scott has been recognized annually by The Best Lawyers in Canada for his expertise in Energy Law.

Prior to joining Fasken, Scott worked as both corporate counsel and as a private practitioner with leadership positions in major national and regional law firms in western Canada.
