Sebastian Zhou is an associate in the Firm's Labour, Employment and Human Rights Group. He provides advice and representation to employers on a wide range of workplace issues.
Sebastian graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where he demonstrated a strong commitment to access-to-justice initiatives. He represented clients in workers’ compensation proceedings at Advocates for Injured Workers, supported transgender individuals through The 519 Trans ID Clinic, and led outreach efforts with Artists’ Legal Advice Services.
Born and raised in Chongqing, China, Sebastian is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Prior to law school, he earned his B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College in New York, which included an academic exchange at the University of Oxford. He also worked in public relations and marketing operations in Shanghai’s biopharmaceutical and design sectors.
Outside of work, Sebastian enjoys exploring new fitness classes and taking long walks with his Shih Tzu.
Before joining Fasken, Sebastian summered, articled, and practised as an associate at another national law firm.
