On February 27, 2008, Les Produits Neptune Inc. and Neptune International Inc. (collectively referred to "Neptune"), a leading North American designer and manufacturer of luxury bathroom fixtures with a facility in St-Hyacinthe, Québec, announced that it had teamed up with Champlain Financial Corporation, a Canadian private equity investment firm, in partnership with the Company's founders and senior management team, to provide Neptune with capital to accelerate its North American expansion. Champlain Financial Corporation, a Canadian private equity firm based in Montréal, along with its U.S. affiliated private equity fund manager, Champlain Capital Management LLC, has been building a diversified private equity portfolio with a series of investments throughout Canada and the United States. Champlain's core focus is to serve as a value-added partner in providing equity capital for small and middle-market companies. Champlain was advised in this transaction by a team from Fasken Martineau led by Denis Chaurette, and that included, among others, Diane Bertrand, Chloé Archambault, Marie-Josée Vincelli, Christine Anagnostou and Elias Elias.
