On February 5, 2010, Trilogy Energy Trust (TSX: TET.UN) completed its previously announced conversion from an income trust to a corporation through a business combination with 360networks (CDN fiber) ULC pursuant to an arrangement under the Business Corporations Act (Alberta). The acquisition was valued at about $36.5 million. Fasken Martineau advised 360networks Corporation in this transaction with a team led by Peter Finley (corporate/M&A), and that included, among others, Bruce Tattrie, David Ford and Gloria Hsi (corporate/technology); Dierk Ullrich (corporate); and Doug New (competition).
