Tiffany & Co. et al. v. The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation

On August 21, 2013, Tiffany & Company’s (Tiffany) motion for an Order extending the time for bringing an appeal with respect to the assessment of the subject property, 85 Bloor Street West, for the 2009 taxation year and an Order directing The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) to be the Appellant were granted by the Assessment Review Board of Ontario. Both of the cross-motions brought by MPAC were denied. Sarah Turney (litigation) of Fasken Martineau acted as counsel to Tiffany.
