On June 2, 2014, Québecor Média announced that the sale of Sun Media Corporation’s 74 Québec weeklies to TC Media for $75 million, announced on December 5, 2013, has been closed. The closing follows Competition Bureau clearance of the transaction the previous week, accompanied by certain conditions to be fulfilled by the acquirer. Fasken Martineau represented Québecor Média. The team included Niko Veilleux and Constantinos Ragas (M&A), Claude Jodoin (Tax), Jean-Nicolas Delage and Christian Jacques (IP), and Joëlle Simard.
