On August 7, 2014, Agropur completed its acquisition of Davisco Foods International’s dairy processing assets. The acquisition included three cheese processing plants and one ingredients plant, all located in the United States, as well as several sales offices abroad. The acquisition will increase Agropur’s revenues by $1 billion. Fasken led the implementation of the bank financing required to effect the transaction with Agropur’s banking syndicate. The Fasken Martineau team that participated in the transaction included Marc Novello, Martin Racicot, Alexandre Gagnon, Svetlana Samochkine and Alain Ranger.
