At the conclusion of the prosecutor’s case, we brought a motion for a directed verdict arguing that the prosecution failed to prove all essential elements of the offence beyond a reasonable doubt. Justice of the Peace L. Girault found that the prosecution failed to prove the essential elements of the offence and the motion for directed verdict was granted for the count against Compass Canada Support Services.
