Many large corporations employ a consolidated banking arrangement with their bank. In the case of Loblaws Inc. and its Shoppers Drug Mart and President’s Choice Bank (“PC Bank”) subsidiaries, any such consolidated banking arrangement is made more complex as a result of PC Bank being a bank (regulated financial institution). Fasken acted as counsel to Loblaws and PC Bank in the substantial agreements related to this banking arrangement.
