Harmony Energy Limited

Harmony Energy Limited, a leading independent developer of renewable energy assets, has expanded its operations overseas with the launch of a new affiliate business in France. Harmony Energy France has been founded together with Andy Symonds and Clément Girard, who will lead and manage Harmony's activities in France, initially focusing on utility scale battery energy storage systems and photovoltaic energy developments.

Harmony has successfully operated in the UK renewable energy sector for more than 12 years, developing wind, solar and battery energy storage assets to help support the UK's energy transition. Now, with the formation of Harmony Energy France, it will take that same ambition to France with the aim of positively contributing to the increasingly urgent requirements to decarbonise the energy sector.

Fasken has advised Harmony Energy on its partnership with FRV pursuant to which it owns and operates 42MW/84MWh of Tesla Megapack Battery Systems in the UK with a further 99MW/198MWh in build, and on its partnership with TagEnergy to build, own and operate 99MW/198MWh of battery systems in the UK. In November 2021 Fasken advised Harmony Energy Income Trust PLC on its £210 million Initial Public Offering and admission to trading on the Specialist Fund Segment of London Stock Exchange plc's Main Market together with its concurrent acquisition of renewable energy projects from Harmony Energy.

The Fasken team was led by Guy Winter, and also included Chloe Gill-Braun and Carlie Marrows.
