BGM is developing an extensive underground mining project in central British Columbia. The project involves greenfield exploration, brownfield exploration and active mining operations. BGM’s mineral tenures cover approximately 1,950 square kilometres and intersect the asserted traditional territories of multiple First Nations.
Fasken is retained by BGM to provide legal advice and support with respect to consultations and agreements with affected First Nations, and has expanded that representation to include advice on the indigenous aspects of the upcoming environmental assessment as well as working with the company regarding their policies towards indigenous reconciliation.
