On December 31, 2001, Mississauga-based TLC Laser Eye Centers Inc. and St. Louis-based Laser Vision Centers, Inc. completed a merger with a total transaction value of approximately US$254 million. Rubin Rapuch, at the time with another law firm, was part of a team of lawyers acting as Canadian counsel for Laser Vision.
