Sophie MacRae is engaged in a broad corporate/commercial practice. She also focusses on legal and regulatory matters in the health care sector.
Sophie is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School. Prior to law school, Sophie obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University.
During law school, Sophie was a Dean’s Fellow, a Community Mediator through Osgoode’s Mediation Intensive Program, a Researcher for the Winkler Class Actions Moot, a Volunteer Coordinator for Pro Bono Students Canada, a Clerk at the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board, and the Secretary of the Osgoode Health Law Association. She was also the recipient of the Howard S. Black ’83, ’01 (LLM) Prize in Estates, the Koskie Minsky Prize in Insurance Law. Prior to joining Fasken, Sophie completed an internship in the legal department of the Sinai Health System (Mount Sinai Hospital).
Sophie summered and articled with the firm. As a summer student, Sophie was seconded to Pro Bono Law Ontario.
