Overview

Stacey McCreath is the Senior Director, Professional Resources for the Alberta Region. In her role, Stacey works closely with the regional leadership team, and is involved in many facets of legal talent management. Stacey oversees all aspects of our associate, counsel and student programs, including recruitment, integration, education, performance management, compensation and advancement. She has dedicated her legal career to providing mentorship, leadership and support to young lawyers and students as they progress through the legal profession.

Stacey is involved in both the regional and firmwide partnership admission processes, alongside regional leadership and the firm’s Professional Personnel Committee. Stacey takes a leading role in supporting women through the initiatives of the Alberta Women’s Network, and she spearheads our student recruitment efforts. With her background as a research lawyer, Stacey maintains an interest in legal research, including educating students and lawyers on legal research, and overseeing the operations of the Calgary library. Stacey also creates and maintains a wide range of learning resources for lawyers and students.

Stacey began her legal career as a summer and articling student at a large national firm, and also articled at the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench and Alberta Court of Appeal. She then practised as a research lawyer for six years before moving into legal talent and professional development roles. Prior to joining Fasken, Stacey held a similar role at another large national law firm.
