Tina Cody maintains a broad commercial litigation and dispute resolution practice. She has experience working on matters involving class actions, shareholder disputes, securities, and regulatory disputes, including in the energy sector.
In addition to her arbitral experience, she has appeared in hearings before the Capital Markets Tribunal, Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, and Court of Appeal. Tina also regularly represents investment advisors before the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO).
Tina graduated from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law. She was an avid mooter during law school, participating in the Julius Alexander Isaac Moot, where she and her partner were named the best Respondent Team and received the award for the best Respondent Factum. Tina also served as a Senior Associate Editor for the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review and was awarded a fellowship by the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights.
Prior to law school, Tina obtained a master’s in economics from the University of Toronto and worked as an economist for a public policy think tank.
Tina volunteers with Pro Bono Ontario’s Free Legal Advice Hotline, providing legal assistance to Ontarians on civil matters.
