Vhari is a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group practising commercial and civil litigation. Her focus is on professional liability, third-party insurance defence, and construction disputes. She represents engineers, architects, design professionals, directors and officers in defending errors and omissions claims. Vhari also acts for consultants in connection with disputes related to large infrastructure, energy, and residential projects.
Vhari takes a practical, business-minded approach to litigation and dispute resolution. She has experience before the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, the Provincial Court of Alberta, and Alberta Securities Commission.
Vhari initially worked in Fasken’s London, England office in securities law and corporate governance. She worked primarily with resource companies involved in multi-jurisdictional transactions. Before that, Vhari clerked at the Alberta Court of Appeal and articled at another national law firm in Calgary.
While in law school, Vhari won the Blackstone Debate competition and was the recipient of Sheilah Martin Prize, Jason Lang Scholarship, and John W. Moyer Memorial Prize. Vhari also founded and served as editor-in-chief of the law student newspaper Moot Times.
