Will Shaw is the National Co-Leader of Fasken’s Emerging Technology group. As a nationally recognized leader in venture capital financing and technology M&A, Will advises high-growth companies, venture capital firms, and strategic investors on complex transactions across Canada’s innovation economy.

With deep experience in VC financings, private and public M&A, and strategic partnerships, Will is a trusted advisor to founders, scale-ups, and institutional investors navigating the full company lifecycle—from seed to exit. Will has led many financings and acquisitions in the tech sector, including deep tech, fintech, AI, life sciences, and climate tech.

Will is Adjunct Faculty at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. He is also recognized by Chambers (Startups & Emerging Companies) and Lexpert (Technology Transactions) as one of Canada’s leading lawyers in the tech space.
