Xavier Plomteux is an associate in our Tax practice group, practising both domestic and international tax planning. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations and, more generally, corporate, trust and individual tax matters. He advises a wide range of clients on optimizing their tax positions and structures.
Throughout his studies, Xavier distinguished himself academically. He earned the Faculty Medal for the highest cumulative grade point average in his graduating class at the Université de Montréal and was one of the students who achieved the highest mark in his cohort on the Québec Bar exam.
In his practice, he draws on his skills and experience to provide clients with value‑added tax advice as well as practical, creative solutions to help them achieve their business objectives.
During his law studies, Xavier also completed an internship at the Québec Court of Appeal.
