Yianni Patiniotis completed his joint JD/MBA degree at Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business, specializing in Finance. Prior to law school, he graduated from the Lazaridis School of Business at Wilfrid Laurier, where he majored in Finance and Economics, and was a Varsity Soccer Athlete.
Throughout his undergraduate co-op program, he worked as an Investment Analyst at Fidelity Investments. In law school, Yianni was a Teaching Assistant for his Advanced Corporate Finance class. He spent a summer working as an Analyst in the Debt Capital Markets division at a major Canadian bank and worked part-time during his studies as an Investment Analyst with a global corporate venture firm. Through Pro Bono Students Canada, Yianni also worked part-time at the Justice for Children and Youth clinic, providing legal services to at-risk youth. He subsequently secured a placement at Parkdale Community Legal Services clinic, working within the Social Assistance, Violence and Health division and representing clients at the tribunal level.
Yianni is the Executive Director and Founding Board Member of the Epiphany Initiative Foundation, supporting underprivileged student-athletes.
As an avid endurance athlete, he enjoys training for marathons and triathlons in his spare time. Yianni summered with Fasken, during which he participated in the Firm’s Secondment Program and was seconded to TMX Group Limited.
