Laurels image Finalist in the Legal Africa Awards for Attorney of the Year In 2016, she was nominated as a Finalist in the Legal Africa Awards for Attorney of the Year. The African Legal Awards set out to recognise exceptional achievement from within Africa’s legal community at a time when the legal sector is going through a period of rapid change. A major feature of these awards is the credibility of the judging process as the winners are decided by an independent judging panel made up of general counsel and other senior members of the legal community. In order to qualify for the award attorneys have to demonstrate: Leadership potential, legal skills, Initiative, Client relationship skills and Contribution to the wider community.
