Alain Ricard is a member of the Corporate Commercial Group and the leader of the infrastructure and transportation practice in the Quebec region. His diversified practice is focused on commercial transactions in the areas of infrastructure, transportation and project financing. His broad understanding of the legal landscape makes him a valuable partner in meeting the needs of his clients.
Alain has significant experience in commercial law and frequently acts for developers, owners, borrowers, financial institutions and investors in commercial transactions and project financings in a variety of industries, especially in the areas of infrastructure and transportation.
Alain's practice also includes corporate finance, acquisitions, monetization, securitization, factoring, structured finance and debt restructuring, both locally and internationally.
Alain is recognized by many renowned directories such as Best Lawyers and Acritas Stars for his valuable experience, in addition to having been named a "Rising Star" and recognized as one of Canada's top lawyers under 40 by Lexpert in 2015.
Alain is active in his community and is a member of several boards of directors. He has also chaired the Board of Directors of the Centre d'accès à l'information juridique (CAIJ) from December 2019 to June 2023.
Prior to joining Fasken, Alain practiced in Montreal with a major law firm where he was the Canadian leader of their Transportation team and head of the Montreal office's Business Law Group.
