Claire has a broad civil litigation practice, with an emphasis on construction and commercial disputes.
Claire practices in the area of corporate/commercial litigation and arbitration. She is committed to understanding her clients’ business and dispute resolution needs and strives to provide clients with high quality legal work in a comfortable and trustworthy environment. She has represented clients in various litigation matters in all levels of courts in Alberta as well as before administered and ad hoc arbitral tribunals. Claire has extensive experience assisting clients with matters related to breach of contract, negligence, shareholder disputes, landlord/tenant issues and other property related disputes. Claire also represents employers in wrongful dismissal disputes.
Recently, Claire was seconded for ten months to TransCanada Pipelines. Prior to joining Fasken as an Associate, Claire summered and articled with the firm. She also spent a summer working as in-house counsel for an oil and gas services company.
Claire is passionate about advocating for the advancement of women in society and in the workplace. She regularly volunteers with the Women’s Centre of Calgary and serves as a director on the board of Dress for Success Calgary, a local affiliate of the world-wide organization dedicated to helping women achieve economic independence.
