Overview

Fasken Martineau's Environmental group is pleased to invite you to this training session on recent developments in Aboriginal jurisprudence in Canada, and in particular the implications for Québec.

The session will discuss recent decisions in Aboriginal law, including those involving ancestral rights vis-à-vis private parties and those defining the role of administrative tribunals when assessing consultation and accommodation.

The discussion will also examine issues raised by the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and more specifically the principle of free, prior and informed consent in the wake of declarations made by the federal government.

Don't miss our next training session on November 2, 2016: Mediation – Legal and Practical Perspectives.

This training session is an invitation only event. For all queries, please contact Steeve Nadon at 514 397 5182 or [email protected].
