Ukraine is rich in titanium, uranium, germanium, graphite, tungsten, vanadium, tantalum, and other critical materials. Following this year’s minerals deal with the United States, the government of Ukraine has made the mining sector a national priority. To modernize its geological mapping capabilities, through a partnership with the EBRD, Ukraine is already digitizing all Soviet-era geological archives, with 60,000 books, journals, and documents being scanned and structured into a single digital archive. To generate new data, Ukraine plans to restart core drilling in 2026. This session will discuss the mineral opportunities with some very useful information about what’s happening on the ground with the current conflict
