Workshop 6
Recent regulatory changes have significantly reduced some recruitment avenues, while also creating new opportunities that are often overlooked.
This seminar offers a practical overview of the options that are still available so you can make the best choices based on your operational reality, recruitment needs and risk tolerance. The objective is to provide a clear understanding of both the opportunities currently available and the restrictions now affecting employers. As certain options become more limited and proactive planning becomes increasingly important, organizations must take a more strategic approach to identifying the talent they want to attract or retain over the long term and act early enough to maximize their chances of success.
Topics will include:
- Temporary Foreign Worker Program (LMIA and CAQ)
- Exemptions under the International Mobility Program (e.g., C20, C62, C63, C10, R01)
- Exemptions under trade agreements (e.g., F12, T11, T36, T37, T38, T41, T44, T52)
- CSQ holders (A73, A75)
- Open work permits
- Permanent residency
- A comparison of timeframes, requirements and risks
You will leave this workshop with a clear understanding of the key pathways that are still available, their limitations, and the factors to consider in order to make informed decisions about international recruitment.
