FireSwarm Solutions Inc. (FireSwarm), a Canadian technology company developing autonomous ultra-heavy-lift drone systems for wildfire suppression and emergency response, received an Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) investment from KONGSBERG Canada, a globally respected defence and security technology company.
FireSwarm combines ultra-heavy-lift UAS technology, AI-assisted coordination, and aerial wildfire suppression to help governments, fire crews, and industrial operators respond faster and more safely to wildfires and other critical missions. The company’s dual-use platform also supports logistics, disaster relief, Arctic operations, and infrastructure protection. FireSwarm has been recognized as one of Canada's Top 50 Most Investable Cleantech Companies by Foresight Canada, is a finalist in the XPRIZE Wildfire Competition, and was selected for NATO DIANA’s 2026 Challenge Programme.
The ITB investment will accelerate FireSwarm’s transition from development to deployment through continued R&D, operational exercises, strategic hiring, and expansion into broader emergency response and autonomous system applications.
Fasken advised FireSwarm with a team led by Geoff Pedlow (Emerging Technology and Venture Capital), and including Brock Euper (Emerging Technology and Venture Capital), and Jessy Oduro-Kwachie (Articling Student).
