Overview

Herzing College has filed proceedings before the Administrative Tribunal of Québec (TAQ) to contest the Ministère de l’Éducation’s decision not to renew its permit for the IT Support training program (5229/5729 DEP) for the coming year.

In the course of these proceedings, the TAQ granted Herzing College’s application for a safeguard order, allowing it to continue providing training to students enrolled in the program as of June 30, 2026, until May 7, 2027, or until otherwise determined by the Tribunal. This order allows students already enrolled in the program, some of whom are international students, to continue their education while the proceedings are ongoing.

Fasken is representing Les Instituts Herzing de Montréal Inc., better known as Herzing College, in this matter with a team consisting of Christian Trépanier, Alexandra Lemelin and Alexandre Belzile.
