In 2024, Lima Immobilier inc. obtained approval of its proposal from its unsecured creditors and the Superior Court of Québec in restructuring proceedings that involved several contested issues.
The matter involved a notice of intention, an application to annul that notice, the termination of commercial leases, applications for safeguard orders, and the appeal of a first-instance decision. Lima Immobilier was successful in its appeal. In his decision approving the proposal, the Honourable Michel A. Pinsonnault, J.S.C., adopted in large part the submissions advanced on behalf of Lima Immobilier.
