Fasken and the Fasken Pride Network are pleased to present a conversation on intersectional identities in the LGBTQ2S+ community. As we approach the Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City Pride celebrations, please join us in this discussion with community leaders and thinkers on the theory, concepts, realities and strategies for inclusion and equity for those with intersectional identities within the LGBTQ2S+ community.
Attendees can expect the discussion topics to include:
- What we mean by “intersectional identities”
- Realities and lived experiences for individuals who identify both as LGBTQ2S+ and other identities, including Black, Indigenous and Persons of Colour
- Strategies for recognizing intersectional realities and how to implement positive inclusion and changes in employment and organizations
- Allyship
- Pride in all intersectional identities
This session promises to be one in an important ongoing dialogue held each summer by Fasken Pride on LGBTQ2S+ advancement and inclusion.
