Gurkirat Batth is an Articling Student in Fasken's Toronto office.

Gurkirat completed his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, he received his Honours Bachelor of Health Studies, specializing in Health Policy, from York University. At Windsor Law, Gurkirat was recognized for his academic achievements and received the Fasken Achievement in Contract Law Award and The Honourable Justice Anthony E. Cusinato Scholarship. He also served as an Editor for the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues, a student-run journal publication, while also serving as a member of the Law School’s Admissions Committee. Gurkirat has worked at both the federal and provincial levels of government in various capacities. He served at the House of Commons as a Media and Communications Officer, as part of a National Leader’s media team. He also served as a Legislative Assistant at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario at Queen’s Park. Gurkirat is an active member of his community and has extensive volunteer experience. He serves as a Board Member and the Chair of the Communications Committee for Sikh Heritage Month Foundation and as a Director and Board Secretary for Niwaas Campus of Care, a not-for-profit long-term care facility. In his spare time, Gurkirat enjoys photography, hiking, and reading. 

Gurkirat summered at the Firm in 2021 and was seconded to The Kraft Heinz Company.
