Laura recently completed her second year of law school at the University of Ottawa, where she is a Dean’s Legal Research and Writing Fellow. Laura also serves as a teaching assistant for the first-year legal research and writing course. After graduation, she looks forward to clerking at the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
Prior to law school, Laura pursued degrees in medical sciences and global health at Dalhousie University and the University of Edinburgh. Both of her theses examined the intersection of prescription drug policy, federalism, and intellectual property rights.
Laura continues to work with professors at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Ottawa on various health, constitutional, and human rights law projects. Since beginning law school, Laura has been an editor with the Ottawa Law Review and will return in her final year as the Submissions Manager, French on the Senior Board.
After completing her studies in Halifax, Edinburgh, and Ottawa, Laura is excited about returning to her hometown of Vancouver for summer articles. Outside of school, she spends time corresponding with friends via handwritten letters and trying to convince her parents to adopt a corgi.
