Mai Khalife graduated from the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law.

Prior to law school, she earned a Specialist degree in Political Science from the University of Toronto. She is the Founder and CEO of two businesses: a music school and a home goods retail venture. Mai continued to grow her music school during law school, hiring and managing several instructors. Mai has worked as a translator and interpreter for the CBC and Ontario Legal Aid, and has conducted research for organizations including the United Nations and the University of Toronto. While in law school, Mai received the Jim Ryan Class of 1975 Scholarship, awarded to the student who most contributed to the enjoyment of their first-year class. She also participated in the Nelligan Moot and mentored dozens of students throughout her legal studies.
