Marcelo Ciecha’s practice is focused on serving the investment management industry. Marcelo counsels several players in the financial markets in connection with setting up new investment funds, obtaining registration with securities regulators, and ensuring compliance with applicable securities laws and regulations.
Marcelo has also developed extensive experience in guiding innovative business models through regulatory compliance, helping clients navigate complex legal landscapes and achieve their business objectives. He advises businesses on the applicability of securities legislation to their activities, including those in the digital asset space.
Before joining the investment management practice team, Marcelo was an associate for four years in the Fasken Litigation and Dispute Resolution law group. He advised and represented clients in matters relating to real estate, product liability and franchise law, among others.
