Mathieu Daponte is an associate in the Labour, Employment and Human Rights group in our Montréal office. Leveraging his diverse litigation experience in administrative and labour law, Mathieu represents clients before various courts and administrative tribunals.

He assists clients in a range of contentious labour and human rights matters, with a particular focus on occupational health and safety issues. He provides clients with proactive advice on their obligations regarding injury prevention practices and assists them in various types of medico‑legal disputes involving occupational injuries and personal disability.

Prior to joining Fasken, he practised for several years in the legal department of a public entity, where he stood out for his ability to manage a high volume of medico-legal cases and administrative investigations. He also worked in private practice, handling civil, administrative and labour disputes.
