Marc James Tacheji wins the Prix Paris-Montréal Oratory Competition

Marc James Tacheji becomes one of the top French public speakers.

Montréal (Canada) – Marc James Tacheji, a litigation lawyer with Fasken Martineau’s Montréal office, claimed the highest honours by winning the Prix Paris-Montréal (available in French only) Oratory Competition held during the Opening of the Courts on September 7.

He competed against winners from the Jeune Barreau de l'Ordre des Avocats de Genève, the Conférence du Jeune Barreau de Bruxelles, the Conférence du Barreau des Hauts-de-Seine, the Conférence du Jeune Barreau de Toulouse, the Conférence du Jeune Barreau du Luxembourg and the Jeune Barreau du Québec, earning first place by successfully debating on “What kind of Government for the State of inebriety?”

These oratorical contests showcase the difference in oratorical cultures between each country represented by focusing on the participants’ humour, eloquence, and general culture.

Marc James Tacheji practises mainly in the area of complex civil and commercial litigation. He touches on all aspects of litigation, including offering advice, drafting procedures and representing clients before various courts.
