Ottawa Partner and Leader of Fasken’s Copyright Group, Jay Kerr-Wilson, describes the legal tools available to video game developers wishing to protect their intellectual property, in a report by CBC News.
“Creators can opt to file a copyright registration with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and file a trademark for any distinctive features like names, logos or branding,ˮ said Partner, Jay Kerr-Wilson.
