“Private Jets: When Tax Policy Moves the Market,” by Karen Jones, Citywealth

Montréal Partner Benjamin Gross discusses key trends expected to shape the private aviation industry in 2026, in an article published in Citywealth.

Following the elimination of Canada’s luxury tax in 2025—which had a positive impact on the sector—he anticipates that 2026 will bring continued growth driven by regulatory and technological developments.

“In 2026, we expect regulatory modernization, which we hope will help harmonize and simplify some of the red tape surrounding transactions,” said Benjamin Gross. “We also expect increased use of AI tools for flight planning, automation systems, and maintenance.”
