Toronto, Canada – Fasken is pleased to announce the appointment of Christine Tabbert as General Counsel.
In this role, Christine is responsible for the Firm's legal affairs and legal risk management, including client intake, conflicts, compliance, contracts, and internal structure. She also plays a key role in strengthening the Firm's governance framework and supporting the continued development of the Firm's legal, compliance and risk management functions.

Christine transitions into the role of General Counsel after serving as Assistant General Counsel, Risk and Compliance at the Firm since 2023. She was also previously a partner in the Firm’s Litigation group and has held various senior positions externally including Deputy Director of the Ontario Securities Commission Enforcement Branch, Chief of Staff to the Minister of Veteran Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, and Assistant Vice President at Manulife Securities.
Christine succeeds Daniel Picotte, who has served as General Counsel since 2020. The Firm thanks Daniel for his leadership and significant contributions to Fasken over the past six years. Daniel will continue to support the Firm in his new role as Strategic Advisor.
