Tsuut’ina (Canada) – Fasken is pleased to welcome Paul Reid as a Partner in the Firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution group. Based in Fasken’s Tsuut’ina office, Paul brings extensive experience in wills and estates litigation, commercial litigation and Indigenous legal matters.
Paul advises individuals, fiduciaries and financial institutions on complex disputes involving estates, trusts, governance and succession matters. Over the course of his career, Paul has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta and British Columbia, as well as the Federal Court and various regulatory boards.
He is particularly recognized for his experience in estate and trust litigation, where he provides practical, strategic counsel on sensitive and high-stakes matters. Before joining Fasken, Paul was a partner at a leading Alberta law firm.
“We are delighted to welcome Paul to Fasken,” said Alex Kotkas, Managing Partner, Alberta Region. “Paul has built an outstanding reputation as a trusted advocate and advisor in complex litigation matters. His deep experience in estate and trust disputes, combined with his work involving Indigenous legal matters, further strengthens our ability to serve clients across Alberta and beyond.”
Paul’s arrival also reflects the continued growth of Fasken’s presence in Tsuut’ina. Located in the Taza development on Tsuut’ina Nation lands, the office was established to deepen the Firm’s connections with Indigenous communities and provide an accessible meeting place for Indigenous groups, businesses and organizations.
“As our Tsuut’ina office continues to grow, we remain focused on building a strong local presence and expanding the services available to clients throughout the region,” added Alex. “Paul’s practice and experience align exceptionally well with that vision, and we are excited to have him join our team.”
