Overview

Nicolas Mancini is a partner in the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Insolvency and Restructuring groups, and has been a lawyer at the firm since 2015. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, litigation involving the enforcement of security interests and asset recovery, as well as litigation in the context of bankruptcy and insolvency and the associated restructuring and reorganization proceedings.

Nicolas represents clients in a wide range of insolvency-related proceedings, including restructurings, bankruptcies, receiverships, and liquidation processes. He provides counsel in both advisory and litigation contexts, assisting clients in developing strategies to overcome operational and financial obstacles throughout the course of an insolvency or workout process. His practice touches all aspects of these matters, including the realization of security interests, the acquisition and sale of distressed assets, and negotiations among competing stakeholders.

He has appeared before Québec courts at all levels and has also worked on large-scale commercial disputes, multi-party cases, and cross-border matters. His experience also extends to disputes involving shareholder rights, directors’ and officers’ liability, and professional negligence.

Nicolas is recognized for his ability to combine a thorough understanding of business realities with practical, focused legal advocacy, which has translated to recognition by Best Lawyers in Insolvency and Financial Restructuring Law and by IFLR1000 as a Rising Star Partner in Restructuring and Insolvency. Clients value his practical advice, strategic approach, and high responsiveness, which enable him to deliver effective solutions to complex challenges.

Nicolas also advises clients from Montréal’s Italian business community and is actively involved in supporting Canadian Italian and Italian cultural organizations.
