Pierre Lantoin is an associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group in Montréal, where he represents and advises companies in complex civil and commercial disputes. Clients turn to him for guidance in contractual disputes, real estate litigation, shareholder disputes, and infrastructure, procurement and technology matters.
Pierre is developing a practice focused on aeronautics. He represents aircraft manufacturers, equipment manufacturers, suppliers and sub-suppliers in disputes arising from long-term supply agreements.
He assists his clients in the interpretation, performance and termination of complex commercial contracts, particularly when external events disrupt contractual performance. In doing so, he helps them protect the value of their business relationships and safeguard their operations.
Pierre also represents clients seeking or opposing urgent and extraordinary relief, such as injunctions, safeguard orders, pre-judgment seizures and Anton Piller orders.
Prior to joining Fasken, Pierre practised in litigation and dispute resolution for several years at a national firm.
He also draws on more than five years of experience at Global Affairs Canada, where he led bilateral and multilateral relations for its Africa Bureau. In this role, he focused on economic and security issues relating to the exploitation of natural resources and critical minerals in Central Africa.
Pierre has been recognized as “One to Watch” in Corporate and Commercial Litigation since 2024.
