Shazad Omarali is an associate in Fasken's Business Law Group and is engaged in a diverse corporate/commercial and infrastructure practice. He has experience working with lenders, sponsors, proponents, and government agencies on large social infrastructure and energy infrastructure projects. He regularly assists with traditional and progressive public-private partnership transactions. He has also been involved in a variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and corporate financings.
Shazad is a graduate of the joint JD/MBA program at Osgoode Hall Law School and Schulich School of Business. He served as a Senior Editor with the Osgoode Hall Law Journal and earned top oralist for Osgoode at the 2022 Bowman National Tax Law Moot.
Shazad summered and articled with the Firm and was seconded to Manulife Financial before joining as an associate in 2024.
In his spare time, Shazad enjoys breakdancing and hiking.
